Patient Summary #

Teacher Aviv is a sweet but distractible teacher of the town’s children who has a tendency to go on tangents. He is an engaging storyteller, but when the children get bored, he has a hard time regaining their attention. It’s common for him to arrange field trips for students so that they are exposed to life beyond the House of Study but this leads to the older children wandering off.

His father, Councilor Boaz, was always frustrated with Aviv for not being more ambitious. His mother Keta, who died when he was young, was kind and supportive of him. Aviv wants to do the same for his own kids, but he often struggles to understand them or to strike the appropriate balance between pushing or enabling them.
