Lumdai is the official and predominate religion of our country of Markes and most surroundings countries.

Since its founding in 3916, the Lumdai religion has spread across the world, its followers proselytizing that theirs is the one true faith. 

Unlike the Avodai, who believe in one God, the Lumdai believe that the Light is engaged in an eternal battle with the Dark. The Dark is the God of Destruction and eternally opposes the God of Creation. The Dark rules over the night, death, and all earthly spirits, who are minions in his war. The Dark seeks to end the world and recreate it in his image.

The Light and Dark also battle over human souls. The Light sent the prophet Lumel to teach the Truth and save humanity from the evil of the Dark. The Lumdai believe the only path to salvation and everlasting life after death in the Light’s heaven is through the Prophet and his Book of Truth. Only when all follow the Lumdai Truth will the Light defeat the Dark. The Lumdai believe they are warriors on the side of Light.

All other religions are “false” teachings propagated by the Dark, including our own. Although the Avodai religion precedes the Lumdai, the Lumdai teach that our God was the Dark merely masquerading as the Light to trick humans. Therefore, the Lumdai believe that all others are sinners who must convert if they are ever to achieve the world’s salvation.
