N’emdai live in many areas of the Southern Continent. N’emdai face persecution across both Lumdai and Akdai lands because they see them as “demon worshipers” because they pray to their ancestors and spirits. While they may not follow Avodai precepts, I believe N’emdai is in fact a Way to the Light, even if their worship is forbidden to us.

N’emdai believe in a creator God, M’begu, who created earth to form their own body and filled the sky with their eyes: the sun and the moon. They then populated their earth body with Spirits to care for the land.

One day, two spirits named Ardi and Poma created humans. Ardi, molded humans from the earth while Puma breathed life into their forms. The humans were weak and helpless. The spirit of water showed them how to dig wells, while the spirit of fire, taught them to cook food. To this day N’emdai honor the spirits and ask for their help and guidance.
