Ask yourself questions about your character. 

• What is your personality and motivations? What matters most to you and why?
• What brings you joy and pride?
• What relationships are most important to you? Are you closer to friends, family, or colleagues and institutions?
• What are your ideals? How well do you live up to them? 
• What are your regrets?
• What are you scared of? 
• What promises have you made? Did you keep them? 
• What are some key events that shaped your life?

What can be even more fun is answering these questions with your Rafa Circle while they are also creating backstories, thereby interrelating one another’s backstories and characteristics. Storytellers will encourage this, but players don’t have to wait to generate connections at any particular stage of play.
