The rounded communal oven is a central fixture of North Kahal. It is large and surrounded by a half-moon counter. Each day other than Zabbah, residents bring their own dough to the communal oven where Ahava and her Assistant Leila bake it for a small fee. Ahava also sells pre-made breads, which you absolutely must try. The oven is often a center for community gossip as people mill around to wait on their bread to bake. During major communal celebrations, the villagers will come together at the communal oven to make bread and sweets.
