Water Serpents

Table of Contents

Water serpents are reptiles that live in bodies of water. Some have the most beautiful, iridescent fins, which contrast with their black bodies. The largest serpents live in the sea and have two heads and three tails. Sea serpents are known to drown ships. Smaller river serpents tend to only have one head and one or two tails.

All water serpents have a taste for sea goats, who are easily tricked into their mouths.

Commentary #

Avodai from Ny’olir and their N’emdai neighbors believe that the water serpents are the soul of the water. They are protectors of water life. (Other than sea goats evidently—I have seen water serpents eat them myself.)
